Jan 24, 2018 We found more single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in T5D than have been reported in SNP databases for any of the WIK, TU, TL, or AB
Briefly, 70 µL of MeOH was added to each batch. Samples were homogenized using a pipette, vortexed for 1 minute, centrifuged at 14,000 rpm for 1 minute at 4°C, sonicated for 15 minutes, and centrifuged at 15,000 rpm for 10 minutes at 4°C. The wild-type zebrafish line (AB strain) and Tg(gfap:GFP) transgenic fish (Bernardos and Raymond, 2006) were obtained from the China Zebrafish Resource Center (Wuhan, China), and raised according to the guidelines for zebrafish care (Westerfield, 2007). The use of zebrafish as a biomedical model was suggested by George Streisinger and colleagues at the University of Oregon, who launched the modern era for zebrafish in the field of biomedical research (Clark and Ekker, 2015).

Many strains are readily available, which not only differ morphologically, but also genetically, physiologically and behaviourally. Zebrafish (Danio rerio), a minnow-like freshwater fish, has emerged as a popular animal model for research and development. The antibodies were generated with BALB/c mice against adult zebrafish protein, and clones were selected based on the specific staining patterns obtained with particular clones. The hybridomas are stored at the Antibody Facility of the UO under the supervision of Dr. Mike Marusich.

The antibodies were generated with BALB/c mice against adult zebrafish protein, and clones were selected based on the specific staining patterns obtained with particular clones.

To better define the functional roles of αB-crystallin, we generated loss-of-function zebrafish mutant lines by utilizing the CRISPR/Cas9 system to specifically disrupt the two αB-crystallin genes, αBa and αBb We observed lens abnormalities in the mutant lines of both genes, and the penetrance of the lens phenotype was higher in αBa than αBb mutants.

We conducted the analysis in two genetically distinct quasi-inbred strains of zebrafish, AB and TL. Although gross morphology and general activity of the fish appeared unaffected, we found significant behavioural alterations in offspring of alcohol exposed parents compared to offspring of control parents in both strains.
In their study, recently published in Zebrafish, Vignet et al. report about their comparison between two well-established wild-type strains of zebrafish (AB and TU). They subjected both larval and adult specimens to a series of behavioral testing. Our data show that already in larval stages differences exist between zebrafish of the AB and TL strain confirming and extending data of earlier studies. To what extent the mutation in connexin 41.8, leading to spots rather than stripes in TL, but also (possibly) affecting eye, heart and brain function, is involved in the expression of (some of As the leading manufacturer of zebrafish antibodies, GeneTex offers an extensive portfolio of reagents validated for use in this model system.

Zebrafish AB9 cells are a primary fibroblast cell line developed from fin tissue of the AB strain. These cells are commonly used for studies focusing on the biochemical and molecular properties of zebrafish.
danio rerio, AB, 132, zebrafish embryo, mRNA, GSE52809 The *AB (pronounced star-AB) line was derived from the AB line in 1991-1992, using 21 EP (homozygotes produced by the early pressure method) females (no males). These females were selected by Charline Walker from among 180 females on the basis of the phenotype of their haploid embryos.
